The success of “Britain’s most luxurious student digs” in Leeds’ IconInc: The Edge has led to a boom in interest in high-end student accommodation.

To cater for that demand, we’re delighted to have two more IconInc locations in development in the north: one more in Leeds and one in the centre of Liverpool; namely, The Ascent.

The complex, which will open in September 2017, is smack-bang in the middle of Liverpool. Here’s why we think we couldn’t have chosen a better location for you:

Half-a-mile east: University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores

As a student in Liverpool, you couldn’t ask for more than to be just minutes away from the universities themselves.

Our new 12-storey development is a mere 15-minute walk from where you’ll be spending your days studying, so you can enjoy those nice, long mornings in bed before you get your head into your books.

    Half-a-mile west: Liverpool ONE

One of the city’s strongest hands is the super-modern shopping-centre-cum-entertainment-centre, Liverpool ONE.

You’ll never run out of coffee shops to study in or shopping trips to chill out on and, what’s more, you can walk there in just 15 minutes to the west of The Ascent.

A mile from the River Mersey and Albert Dock

Keep on going beyond Liverpool ONE and you’ll reach one of the parts of Liverpool that won it the title of European Capital of Culture in 2008: Albert Dock.

Within walking distance of The Ascent, you can explore the docks of one of the most famous rivers in the world, peruse some of the best art in the world in the Tate Liverpool and enjoy some of the best acts in the world at the Echo Arena.

    Musical history on your doorstep

The Cavern Club is the birthplace of The Beatles and consequently one of the country’s most treasured venues.

They have live music on every day from the middle of the afternoon well into the evening and, in a nod to the students in the city, it’s free entry most of the week.

Yards away from the rest of the country

The Ascent site is on Renshaw Street in the Ropewalks district of the city, so it’s just yards from Liverpool Central and Liverpool Lime Street train stations. The whole country is your oyster if you ever fancy a weekend away from the library.
