We purposely chose a great location for our brand new luxury student accommodation in Liverpool.

The Ascent will open in September 2017, so you’ve got plenty of time to collect a list of places to go when you’re living in the city.

To get you started, here’s our selection of the best eateries for your student years:

    Restaurants – Independent

    Mowgli Street Food

    69 Bold St, Liverpool L1 4EZ

    0151 708 9356

A relatively new addition to the street food scene is Mowgli, but it’s already made a massive name for itself. In fact, it’s not technically independent because they’ve already opened a spot in Manchester, but, once you try the small Indian street food dishes, you’ll be hooked.

    The Quarter

    10 Falkner St, Liverpool L8 7

    0151 707 1965

For some of the best Italian nibbles in one of the most relaxed environments in Liverpool, take the short walk from The Ascent to The Quarter. The restaurant with a deli is ultra-chilled in its character, so we’re pretty sure you’ll never want to leave. Sorry.

    Restaurants – Chains

    Gusto

Edward Pavillion, Albert Dock, Liverpool L3 4AF

    0151 708 6969

Situated on Albert Dock, this Italian restaurant is taking Liverpool and, indeed, the UK by storm. The classic interior décor and delicious menu will have you going back for more and more and more…

    Wagamama

Liverpool One, 14 Paradise St, Liverpool L1 8JF

    0151 707 2762

Wagamama enjoys a status amongst students akin to Nando’s, so the Liverpool ONE location is always bustling with noodle lovers. You’ll be attracted to this place like a magnet if you love Japanese cuisine.

    Fast food

    Botan Kebab House

    24 Berry St, Liverpool L1 4JF

    0151 709 2065

With reviews on Google to the tune of “Simply the tastiest chicken kebab I've ever had” and “Officially the best kebab in Liverpool”, it’s no wonder why Botan is so popular. Try it for yourself. We’re convinced you’ll agree.

    Chicken Bazooka

    9-11 Ranelagh St, Liverpool L3 5SB

    0151 707 0755

It’s no swanky joint, but Chicken Bazooka is a bit of a failsafe in Liverpool, especially for students. It’s just yards from The Ascent, so it’s great choice if you’re after fried convenience.

    Cafés

    Leaf on Bold Street

    65-67 Bold St, Liverpool L1 4EZ

    0151 707 7747

As you might guess from its name, this place knows tea inside out and it’s got the food to go with it. It’s a café-cum-bistro-cum-bar, so it’s open late for all kinds of characters to enjoy.

    The Egg Café

    Top Floor, 16-18 Newington, Liverpool L1 4ED

    0151 707 2755

An artsy veggie and vegan café at heart, The Egg Café has an all-day menu and a lively atmosphere to keep you happy in both heart and mind.

    Takeaway

    Nabzys

    41 Leece St, Liverpool L1 2TR

    0151 709 1333

Nabzys is open until 4am every night, so it’s a hit amongst the students who like to party hard and eat well. You’ll be getting involved in no time.

    Zaffran

Unit F62, Commerce Way, Parliament Business Park, Liverpool, L8 7BA

As the highest-rated takeaway on Just-eat.co.uk, Zaffran enjoys a widespread fan-base in Liverpool. They know how to knock up a cracking curry, so make sure you try it at least once during your time at The Ascent.
