The Top 6 Places To Eat In Liverpool

Emma Hart

Liverpool is one of the North’s most energetic cities. It’s got the culture, the history, the cool nightlife, and now it’s got the cool food scene too. Whatever you want to eat, you’ll more than likely be able to find it in this city. If you’re a student at IconInc who’s on the lookout for a good meal, here’s where to go…

THE INSTAGRAMMABLE PLACE

LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR

Love Thy Neighbour on Bold Street is a striking organic café serving up healthy food and delicious coffees. Among the pale wooden tables, white brick, and cute cacti are the ultra-photogenic neon lights which give Love Thy Neighbour a party atmosphere in the evening. Outside is just as Instagrammable as the Buddah Bowls and stylish interior though. Wander around the corner and it’s likely you’ll have to wait a moment or two to get a photo of the “Avocado is Bae” street art that stands outside.

THE PLACE TO GO FOR A CELEBRATION

THE ART SCHOOL RESTAURANT

Are you celebrating a birthday, graduation, or successful exam result? Go to The Art School Restaurant for a celebration and a meal to remember. Ingredients for their changing seasonal menu are sourced from local suppliers and organic farms. Meals are then created by Paul Askew, the Chef Patron of The Art School Restaurant, who serves delightful creations such as pan roasted hake fillet and winter berry pavlova with Turkish delight ice cream and white chocolate soil.

THE WEEKEND PLACE

ALMA DE CUBA

Alma de Cuba is part club, part restaurant and the atmosphere is perfect for when you want to head out at the weekend. Combine good music with food such as chargrilled Argentinian sirloin steak, sticky honey spiced chicken wings, and oven roasted okra and coconut curry, you’re setting yourself up for a good night. End your meal with a tasty dessert – the Dulce de leche and Colombian cocoa tart takes our fancy – or an after dinner drink.

THE RELAXED AND CHILLED OUT PLACE

CRUST

Do you want pizza? Do you want pasta? How about some beer? Then go to Crust on Bold Street? This chilled out venue has all the elements you needs for a great night with your friends. The food is wallet friendly and will give you a whole new perspective on cool Italian food.

THE PLACE TO GO FOR COFFEE AND CAKE

THE ITALIAN BAKERY

The Italian Club Bakery is one of those places that you probably won’t know about until someone enthusiastically recommends it to you. Just around the corner from IconInc – how convenient! – on Newington, the Italian Bakery dishes up some of the best sweet treats in town. We can highly recommend their giant profiteroles and coffee, or you can just pop in to pick up some fresh Italian bread or pasta!
