Jan, '23New beginnings can be exciting but at the same time can be difficult and stressful. The same goes with the first month of the year ‘January.’ Everyone is pumped up to start the year on a good note, however as the NYE hangover reduces and the initial days of January pass by, we realise that the Christmas celebrations, Boxing Day Sales, and New Year parties have burnt a hole in our pockets. As if this wasn’t enough, the weather makes it worse. Reduced sunlight, cold winds, and rains can end up making us lazy and lethargic. All these factors result in us trailing on our new year resolutions and lacking the enthusiasm to smash those goals. This can be collectively termed as ‘January Blues.’ Moreover, the third Monday in January is referred to as ‘Blue Monday’ and is supposedly the most depressing day of the year. The weather is at its worst, it gets darker earlier, it’s a Monday, and we still must survive for a week until we are paid. This year the Blue Monday falls on 16th January. Although January Blues sound daunting, it’s not the end of the world. Read along to know more about the best hacks to overcome the January Blues.
