Iconinc Works with The Parklane Foundation to Combat Homelessness

In the heart of every bustling city lies a silent crisis: homelessness. It's a stark reality that often goes unnoticed amidst the glamour and opulence of urban life. But what if luxury could be leveraged for a greater good? Enter Iconinc, a prestigious student accommodation brand, and the Parklane Foundation, a charity organisation dedicating this year to addressing homelessness.

In a ground-breaking initiative, Iconinc has teamed up with the Parklane Foundation to raise funds for homelessness support, partnering with three renowned charities: Crisis, St George's Crypt, and Simon on the Streets. Their mission? To house those in need and create a ripple of positive change within the community. 

Throughout the week commencing 22nd April 2024, Iconinc is leading the charge within the Parklane Group, competing to raise the most funds possible through a series of engaging events across their sites. Here's a glimpse into some of the innovative initiatives they've undertaken:

1. Krispy Kreme Donut Stall:

Indulgence for a cause! Iconinc sets up a tempting Krispy Kreme donut stall, enticing residents to satisfy their sweet cravings while contributing to a noble cause.

2. Iconinc Bake Sale:

The aroma of freshly baked goods fills the air as Iconinc residents and staff come together to whip up an array of delectable treats for a bake sale extravaganza. From cupcakes to cookies, every purchase supports the initiative to combat homelessness.

3. Staff Chores – Coffee & Breakfast in Bed:

Turning chores into acts of kindness, Iconinc staff offer residents the luxury of waking up to a freshly brewed cup of coffee and a scrumptious breakfast served in bed.

4. Room Cleans for Charity:

Iconinc residents rally together to declutter and spruce up their living spaces, all in the name of charity- but also free up some time and stress for residents!  Donations are collected in exchange for professional room cleaning services, with every penny contributing to providing shelter for those without.

5. Pie an Iconinc Staff Member:

Laughter is the best medicine, especially when it supports a worthy cause! Residents, line-up for the chance to pie Iconinc staff members! 

6. Milkshake Bar:

Quenching thirst while making a difference, Iconinc sets up a milkshake bar offering an assortment of delicious delights. 

These initiatives not only raise essential funds but also foster a sense of unity and purpose within the Iconinc community. Residents and staff alike come together, leveraging their resources and privileges to create tangible change for those in need.

Through their partnership with the Parklane Foundation and collaboration with esteemed charities, Iconinc is not just providing luxury accommodation; they're championing social responsibility and redefining the narrative around urban homelessness.
